Circus with a twist coming to Vancouver

The circus is coming to town, only this time, it has a dark side.

Paranormal Cirque II exists in the strange dimension between traditional circus fun and primal fear. It creates a mysterious world filled with creatures who also happen to have exceptional abilities in the circus arts.

The show combines theater, circus, and cabaret with the things that lurk in the dark corners of the audience members’ imaginations. The show mixes the ingredients of surprise, amusement, and fear into an emotional journey into a world of dreams. An article what audiences will see is:

“. . . more like the underworld — chainsaws, sword eaters, sexy vampires, tightrope-walking zombies, contortionists and a stilt-walking demon.”

The cirque takes place in the Clown Castle, a big top tent of red and black where illusionists, aerial acrobats, mysterious creatures, and freaks dwell, all of whom are typically found in a circus. But the Paranormal Cirque adds a dash of spooky goings on that are anything but typical.

Paranormal Cirque II will be in Vancouver June 7 – 10, at the Vancouver Mall, 8700 NE Vancouver Mall Drive. Seats will be assigned after tickets are purchased, based on the best available options for the type of ticket purchased. Buyers will receive a separate email with their seat assignments. No one under 13 will be admitted, and those 13-17 must be accompanied by an adult. When events like this are planned, organizers often work with poster printing to create advertising.
