Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A, a chicken fast-food restaurant, is opening its first Vancouver location soon.
The restaurant is located on 164th Avenue in the Cascade Park neighborhood, and brings about 100 new part-time and full-time jobs to the city.
John Dombroski is the franchisee who will be running this location. Dombroski, who graduated from the Air Force Academy, and Aubrey, his wife, have three children. The family moved to Vancouver recently in order to run the franchise.
Dombroski said he and his family are delighted to be in Vancouver, where they feel very much at home. He plans to work with regional suppliers and farmers to use as many locally-sourced products as possible, and says he plans to donate surplus food to a local food bank. Chick-fil-A has also committed to transitioning to using only chicken raised without antibiotics in all its stores by 2019.
The new spot Chick-fil-A's third restaurant in the Portland region, but its first in Southwest Washington. The store is set to open on September 15 and, as is customary with the chain, the first 100 adults to come through the doors on opening day will be given free meals for a year.
Companies like these can benefit by working with professional flyer printing companies, which can create materials to be handed out at store locations on opening days.
