Celebration of Hawaii arranged in Vancouver

One of the summer’s signature events is coming up soon in Vancouver.

4 Days of Aloha is the Pacific Northwest’s biggest Native Hawaiian event, a festival celebrating the uniqueness of Hawaiian culture. The fun is spread across four days and two locations, Esther Short Park and Clark College, and people of all backgrounds and ages are welcome.

The party starts with cultural workshops led by renowned master teachers of Hawaiian dance, known as Kumu Hula. Instructors will be leading sessions on various Forms of Hawaiian art. Workshops, include lei making, taro pounding, Tahitian dance, and the Hawaiian language.

The festivities in Esther Short Park include live Hawaiian music, hula dancers, authentic island food, retail and art vendors, a keiki zone (for children), and a beer garden. Giveaways and raffles are also part of the fun.

Concerts in the evening will feature artists such as EKOLU and The Mākaha Sons. EKOLU is an island reggae band based in Maui that has been performing for more than 20 years, and has released 11 albums in that time. The Mākaha Sons are also based in Hawaii and have been sharing their music for decades. Their DVD won the first-ever Na Hoku Hanohano award, and in 2013, they were inducted into the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame.

The 4 Days of Aloha festival is July 20 to 23, and tickets are on sale now. Events like this are perfect places for organizers to create decorative Banners using banner printing.
