One of the biggest events of the year is planned for Vancouver.
The 4 Days of Aloha event will bring the Islands to southwest Washington, with music, food, and fun in both Esther Short Park, and at the Clark College Campus. The campus will be the location of a series of cultural workshops. Some of Hawai’i’s finest dance masters will be teaching Kumu Hula. They include Vicki Takamine, Keali’i Reichel, and Māhealani Mika. Rae Pachecco will teach lei making, and other artisans will present workshops on fabric making, Hawai’ian chants, and more.
Vendors are always part of a celebration like this, and over 60 of the best are expected this year. They will offer delicious island cuisine, handmade wearable art, traditional crafts, and unique products that are inspired by the Hawai’ian culture. Exploring all the booths, chatting with the vendors, and sampling goodies is part of the fun of events like this.
Live music is a huge component of 4 Days of Aloha, which is now in its 22nd year. Although the lineup is still being finalized, a look back at 2023 indicates what visitors can expect this year. Last time, the headliner was EKOLU, who are based in Maui. Reggae bands got the crowd warmed up for the main act.
4 Days of Aloha is scheduled for July 25-28. More details will be released as the date gets closer. When events like this are planned, organizers often turn to banner printing to create signage for the outdoor areas.
