Major star to visit Vancouver area

An icon of the music business is coming to the Vancouver area.

Bob Dylan will be at the Sunlight Supply Amphitheater in the Vancouver suburb of Ridgefield, an easy drive from downtown. He's bringing The Hot Club of Cowtown and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats with him.

The legendary Dylan has been writing music and performing since the 1960s, creating hits such as “Blowin' in the Wind.” With the exception of one three-month break, Dylan has been touring almost continuously since 1997, playing more than 2,500 shows in that time.

One review says:

“At 78 . . . Bob shows no Signs of slowing down. His voice sounded beautiful and he played the piano, guitar, and keyboards like when he was a kid.”

The Hot Club of Cowtown, a trio that plays Western swing and jazz, first got together in 1997. Their name pays tribute to Western artists, while the “hot” refers to hot jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt.

Reviews of the group are raves:

“Three hot virtuosos whose energy won't quit!”

Singer/songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff is a Denver-based artist who formed his R&B band in 2013. A review says:

“Wonderful show had the whole crowd on their feet.”

At this time, Dylan and his friends are scheduled to perform on June 6 at 7.00 pm. Those interested should check with the venue in case of changes. Poster printing is frequently used to advertise events such as this.
