Game night near Vancouver

Fans of board games have a chance to enjoy one of their favorite activities at a special event soon.

Game night is for anyone who enjoys learning, teaching, and playing tabletop board games, both classic and modern. The group organizing the event meets regularly and extends a welcome to anyone who enjoys playing games, or who would like to meet new people in a casual, fun setting. The group is open to anyone 12 and older, and usually has approximately 30 board games available for play, and friendly people available to teach newcomers how they are played. These include classic games, newer games, and card games.

Games available include those involving strategic thinking, war games, European-style games, and card games. Among the games this group plays are Cosmic Encounter; Catch Phrase; The Resistance; Risk; Dead of Winter; Fluxx; Munchkin; Caverna; 7 Wonders; Catan; Nexus Ops; Dominion; Ticket to Ride; and Agricola. Classic board games include Trivial Pursuit, Clue, and the all-time greats, Monopoly, and Scrabble.

Although everyone is welcome, there is no childcare available. However, drinks, snacks, and pizza are provided. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts for people attending events like this.

Game night is ongoing, with upcoming meetings set for June 11, July 9, August 13, and September 10. The venue is the Activate Church on Northeast 3rd Avenue in Camas, just east of Vancouver.
