Celebrating the construction industry in Vancouver

A popular event is returning to the Vancouver area.

Dozer Day® is scheduled for the Clark County Fairgrounds in Ridgefield, a suburb of Vancouver, Washington. The two-day event is held annually across the nation, educating people of every age about opportunities in the construction industry, public safety, and how to build sustainable communities. Even more importantly, from the perspective of the children who attend, is the opportunity to climb on and “drive” heavy construction equipment, recycling trucks, and public safety vehicles. Other informative, fun activities will also take place.

In addition to allowing attendees to learn about and get close to heavy equipment, the day is a fundraiser in support of organizations and charities. In the case of Vancouver, the recipient of the funds raised will be the Nutter Family Foundation. Dozer Day® is the Foundation’s main fundraiser, and the proceeds from the weekend go to fund other charities that support children.

The Nutter Family Foundation, as noted, raises funds to support children’s charities, but at events like this, they also point out there are other avenues to a successful career other than attending college.

Dozer Day® is scheduled for October 7 and 8, from 11.00am until 4.00pm. Organizers of events like this can work with brochure printing services to create pamphlets that explain the equipment, the opportunities for work in the field, and the goals of the foundation itself.
