Stay Alfred Inc., has new president and CFO

Stay Alfred, Inc., a company based in Spokane Valley that provides vacation rental apartments in urban areas, has hired Steve Helmbrecht, a veteran executive, to fill the post of its president and chief financial officer. Helmbrecht joined the company early this month.

The company's CEO and founder, Jordan Allen, says Stay Alfred is no longer a startup, but a successful business with plans to expand, and bringing aboard a talented executive like Helmbrecht is essential. Stay Alfred's revenue has nearly tripled since 2016, from $25.2 million to $66.5 million.

Helmbrecht says Stay Alfred is expanding, increasing the number of cities where it has located its travel apartments. In addition, they're also adding the number of apartments they have available in cities where they are already operating. Companies expanding in this way can use brochure printing to create material explaining the advantages of their services.

At present, Stay Alfred currently has more than 1,500 apartments in 32 cities it rents as vacation units. It expects to double that number in the coming year. In 2016, the company was renting out 377 units; by 2017, they had 918.

Besides simple growth, Stay Alfred also plans on investing in hardware, software, and technology that will make its guests' experiences more pleasant. The new technologies the company is considering include allowing renters to access the units via their smartphones, and automatic door locks.
