An annual event in Spokane Valley is on the calendar and will help support an organization that empowers others.
The Purple Ribbon Banquet to benefit the Women's Healing & Empowerment Network (WHEN) is a ticketed event to support the organization that in turn helps others. WHEN focuses on providing resources, healing centers, counseling, education, and more to schools, churches, homes, families, and others who need extra support.
The event’s motto is “Flying with Broken Wings” and includes both a silent and a live auction. The featured presenter is Craig Fruin, who is the general manager and operating partner of Spokane Hyundai. He will share his background, revealing that when children see adults empowered to leave an abusive situation, they also see that they have a future.
Other presenters include Charles Stephenson, who has taken part in the WHEN program and is now thriving, Pastor Jacob Powers of the Heights Church, Mike Ellis of Ellis Marketing, Lorenda Rae Edwards of Shine 104.9 radio, Marshallese Women, and entertainer Dennis Mitchell. Mitchell is the head of Dennis Mitchell Empowerment Seminars.
This year’s Purple Ribbon Banquet is scheduled for March 8, from 5.00 pm until 7.00 pm, at the CenterPlace Regional Event Center, 2426 Discovery Place in Spokane Valley. When organizers plan events such as this, they might consider using brochure printing to create handouts for attendees to explain their mission and organization.
