Favorite Spokane restaurant opening in new location

One of Spokane's beloved restaurants has reopened—in Spokane Valley.

Over a year ago, the Shogun Restaurant, an iconic hibachi and sushi restaurant located in Spokane, caught fire, threatening several building, including an adjacent hotel. Fortunately, the fire did not spread beyond the restaurant, but the water used to fight the blaze caused flooding in the basement. No one was injured, although it took seven hours to douse the fire.

Now, Shogun is back, but in a new spot—Spokane Valley's Raymond Road, and has enjoyed a grand reopening celebration. Last year, after the fire, owner Joseph Lee said he was determined to rebuild Shogun, because he knew how popular it was with members of the community.

He also said he would be upgrading the menu, which features steak and seafood, and about 20 people will be employed in the space. The new restaurant offers about 8,000 square feet of space, and the remodeling was done by Spokane Valley's Aztech Electric, Inc. Shogun retained its logo and name, and the interior, which includes a waterfall, is inspired by a Japanese aesthetic. Promotional Products can be distributed to build brand recognition in situations like this.

At present, the restaurant is taking reservations by phone. Patrons can call and leave a message with their name, the number of people in the party, and the time and date they would like to come to the restaurant, along with a contact number.
