Olympia bats act as nocturnal, flying insect eating machines, and these furry friends will be taking center stage during a local presentation.
Olympia Timberland Library will be going “batty” when it offers a sneak peek into the lives of bats, and it will introduce a variety of species native to the local area. Everyone will head for home with a better understanding of what they need to survive, and it will take place during the evening hours.
The attendees will find out what makes these furry, flying mammals tick, including their behavior and what they need to survive. They will learn what makes them so important, and information about their intelligence and recent discoveries about their role in their ecosystems will be shared as well. Tips for making them feel welcome in a garden or other property are on the agenda, and the session will run for one hour and fifteen minutes.
A class or other activity gives the public an opportunity to get up close and personal with wildlife they otherwise would not have a chance to meet. This can help to make them stakeholders when it comes to their care and protection, and a brochure printing company can prepare information sheets and other materials.
This opportunity for Olympia to learn more about bats and why they matter so much will be on offer on April 2nd. It will begin at 6:30 pm.
