As Washington’s capital, Olympia leads the state when it comes to having a great time, and it has a celebration in the works that its organizers hope will once again be a real crowd pleaser.
Both locals and visitors to the city may want to leave room in their July schedule to drop by Lakefair Week, which will be celebrating 68 years of bringing people together. It has consistently given small business and food vendors an opportunity to build their customer bases, and the proceeds fund a scholarship program for students.
The week will be filled with a variety of activities suitable for most ages and interests. Everyone can enjoy the excitement of the carnival with its rides and games, and food concessions will also be set up along Water Street. The Grand Parade will make its return, starting along Capitol Way, and a car show, entertainment stages, craft vendors and a special seniors’ day are all in the works.
To cap off the celebration, the public is invited to view The Grand Fireworks Finale over Capitol Lake. Large community events may require specialized printing services such as the preparation of Letterheads and other documents, and a professional printer will be pleased to help.
