Olympia to host music festival in August

Two days of music, food, and vendors are coming to Olympia next month.

The South Sound Block Party will take place at the Port of Olympia and will provide a place for local, regional, and national musicians to show off their talents. Often, the sponsors of events like this use poster printing services to advertise alongside their websites.

On day one, the box office opens at 3:00 pm and the doors open at 4:00 pm. Day one's musical lineup includes the nationally known band Sleater-Kinney, as well as regional acts like GRRRizzly and Trust Fall.

The box office opens at 2:00 pm on day two. The headlining band is Sleigh Bells, who will share the stage with such acts as Lovely Colours and Alien Boy. A full lineup is available on the event's website.

Besides the music, the festival invites local breweries and food trucks to provide meals and drinks during the event. Additionally, vendor booths will offer a range of handcrafted items for guests to purchase.

South Sound Block Party takes place August 28 and 29. Gates open at 3:00 pm on the Friday and at 12:30 pm on the Saturday. Music is expected to end around 10:30 pm on both nights. Festivalgoers can get general admission tickets for one day or buy a ticket for the entire weekend. VIP tickets are also available and can be purchased on the event's website.
