This spring, Olympia gardeners will have a secret weapon they can use to fill their beds with plants that will be eco-friendly.
Thurston County Fairgrounds is set to welcome the Native Plant Festival and Sale, which will be on offer for one day only. Wise gardeners know that choosing native species offers a variety of benefits for the environment, and there will be many species and cultivars to choose from.
Admission to the function will be free of charge, and there will be a variety of vendor booths and tables to visit and shop through. Live music will add a touch of fun, and food and beverages will be on offer for purchase. It is both organized and hosted by the Thurston Conservation District, and there will be a donation box set up for non-perishables to go to the Thurston County Food Bank.
Pop-up plant markets tend to be a common sight during the spring months, and they often attract shoppers who are eager to get started in their own home garden. Plant tags, information sheets, receipt folders, and other bespoke items for a nursery or garden center can be prepared by Stationery printers.
