Olympia event focuses on climate change and agriculture

Farming and other agricultural enterprises may be impacted by the effects of climate change, and an Olympia event will provide an opportunity for the public to learn more about the steps they can take to help address the issue.

The Thurston Conservation District has invited anyone who would like to learn more about the impact of climate change on agriculture to attend a conference that will be on offer in late January. It will be focused on the food economy, and will be specifically geared towards the local area.

The symposium will be getting started with a fundraiser for the Southwest Washington Food Hub, and this meet-and-greet-style session will showcase dishes prepared by local chefs. Live music will be performed, and tickets for this conference may be reserved in advance. The Saturday schedule is filled with special guest presenters and workshops, and there will be several topic-specific breakout sessions to choose from.

Those who attend a symposium or conference are often eager to learn as much as they can. Delegate packages can be prepared by a brochure printing company, and these may include promotional Pens and other swag.

The Climate Change and Food Production conference is scheduled to begin with its opening mixer on Friday, January 26. Additional details about timings and venues can be found in the symposium’s online listing.
