For the 11th year, Kirkland is hosting the largest summer wine festival held in the state of Washington—Kirkland Uncorked.
The festival runs for an entire weekend, and not only allows attendees to sample fine wines, but also to help a good cause at the same time.
Over 70 wines from vineyards on both sides of the Cascade Mountains will be available for people to enjoy in the Kirkland Uncorked Tasting Garden. While the garden admission is limited to those over 21, a Burger Brawl on Friday and a Grill-Off on Saturday will be suitable for people of all ages.
The Street Fair is also a family-friendly event. Attendees are welcome to browse arts and crafts objects made by local vendors who will be setting up shop at the Uncorked Market. When attendees get hungry, there will be 12 food trucks to satisfy their appetite, offering many different cuisines.
The festival benefits Woodinville’s Homeward Pet Adoption Center, a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter. This is the fourth time the shelter has been named to receive the profits from the festival. To make sure the animals also have a good time, CityDog Magazine is hosting a modeling contest at the Street Fair, for the costumes worn by the dogs and cats in attendance.
Kirkland Uncorked is slated for this weekend, July 14-16. Events like this can benefit if organizers display colorful Banners to add to the fun.
