What's Happening in Kirkland, WA…

Summer concerts are fun for everyone, and Kirkland is offering a whole series.

Kirkland Marina Park is the venue, and the artists scheduled are Christie Huff, Chance McKinney, Vertigo Zoo, and Adrian Xavier.

Christie Huff is a country songwriter and singer currently based in Los Angeles. She has worked with songwriters in Nashville, appeared at such iconic venues as The Viper Room, and tours many times during the year.

Chance McKinney is from Seattle where he began his career in music in 2009 while he was still teaching math in high school. At that time, he won Country Music Television's Music City Madness competition for unsigned artists. Since starting his career, he has toured with stars like Trace Adkins and Dierks Bentley, and appeared at several music festivals.

Vertigo Zoo is a tribute band for U2, and comprises veteran musicians. The Seattle-based outfit is Rick Hines as The Edge, Jim Patricelli as Adam Clayton, Ken Brooks as Larry Mullen Jr., and John Comstock as Bono.

Adrian Xavier is a reggae artist working in Seattle. He has performed more than 50 times with original members of Heart, and is regularly featured as a guest by Marmalade, the longest-running funk collective in Seattle.

Christie Huff appears July 3, Chance McKinney follows on July 11. On July 18, it’s Vertigo Zoo’s turn, and Adrian Xavier plays July 25. Organizers of this type of event series will often work with poster printing to create attractive advertising for the concerts.
