The 4th Annual Bow Wow Meow Luau Adoption Event, sponsored by the Pawsitive Alliance, is coming up this week.
To be held at the Denny’s Pet World in Kirkland, this event will have 17 animal rescue groups and shelters from all around Washington, with cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies of all sizes, characters, and ages. There will be more than 150 animals available for adoption and looking to find permanent homes.
Last year, in a four-hour period, 119 animals were adopted and the Alliance hopes to surpass that number this year, perhaps turning to a local printing company to help with creating Flyers, Posters, and other materials to promote the event and the benefits of adoption.
Adoption fees will vary according to animal, but all of them have been spayed or neutered, are current with their vaccinations, and are tested for temperament. Trainers and pet food experts will also be available to answer any questions potential adopters might have about being a new pet owner.
There will also be raffles, giveaways and refreshments to enable a fun-filled family event. Other sponsors of the event include Buffalo Bill Dog and Cat Food, Canine Behavior Center, Inc. and Natural Balance Pet Foods, Inc.
