Run for St. Patricks Day in Kirkland
Those who enjoy running can combine their hobby with a St. Patrick’s Day celebration.
The upcoming Kirkland Shamrock Run has various runs starting at different times. The gear check is at 7.30 am, and the Little Leprechaun run begins at 8.30 am, followed by the 5K, which starts at 9.00 am. Next up is the 10K, which begins at 9.10 am.
At 10.30 am, officials will announce the top three male and female finishers in the 5K, and at 11.00 am, they will announce the top three runners, male and female, in the 10K. The course will be closed at 11.30 am.
Although it will be possible for runners to pick up their packets on race day, officials would prefer people pick them up ahead of time to shorten the lines. Packets can be picked up at Moss Bay Hall, 111 Central Way, on March 8, from 11.00 am until 5.00 pm. They may also pick them up from 11.00 am until 5.00 pm on March 14. They would also prefer to have one group’s gear picked up at the same time.
The run is set for March 15 at Marina Park, which is on the waterfront and will allow participants to run a flat course. This is especially helpful for the children who are taking part. Organizers of events like this often use banner printing to create markers that indicate the course.
