Rocking tribute band in Kirkland

A popular band that plays tribute to many talented artists is coming to Kirkland.

Nite Wave is a group that has an abiding passion for the new wave music of the 1980s. They love nothing more than to play the hits of outfits like INXS, Depeche Mode, Prince, and Duran Duran. They have so impressed some of the bands they cover that those outfits, in turn, have invited them to share the stage. They have opened for and toured with Billy Idol, and been on stage with The Go-Gos’ Jane Wiedlin. They have also shared the stage with When in Rome’s Clive Farrington, as well as best-selling superstar Tiffany.

The group embraces an era that saw the waning of the disco craze of the 1970s, symbolized by the music of the Bee Gees and the film “Saturday Night Fever.” As disco faded, rock held steady, and even branched out into sub-genres like shred guitar, thrash metal, and soft rock, with glam metal music dominating the end of the decade.

A review of Nite Wave says:

“Nite Wave is always a fun band which gets their audience up on their feet.”

Nite Wave will play live at The Lime in Kirkland on Saturday, November 4, where organizers of events like this can use poster printing to create advertising to promote the concert. There is no cover charge.
