What's Happening in Kirkland, WA…

Fall brings one of the biggest parties of all to communities around the world, and Kirkland is no different.

For the ninth year, Kirkland will celebrate the German holiday Oktoberfest with concerts, biers imported from Germany, and tastings of local craft brews. The party is so huge it is planned to last for three days.

In addition to specialty biers imported from Germany, the festival features the finest beer in the Pacific Northwest, stein hoisting, “wiener dog” races, parades, DJs, keg rolling, concerts, arts and crafts, and food trucks. There will also be an attempt to break the Bavarian Handshake World Record, a contest which requires participants to wear Lederhosen.

Live performers will be the Bonnie Birch Trio, the Bavarian Beer Garden Band, the S-Bahn Band, and Nite Wave LIVE 80’s New Wave.

Kirkland Oktoberfest is scheduled for September 23, 24, and 25, at Marina Park in Kirkland. The hours on September 23 are from 4.00 pm until 11 pm; September 24 from 12 pm until 11 pm; and September 25 from 12 pm until 6 pm.

The last day, September 25, is Dogtoberfest, and is the day of the 9th Annual Great Kirkland Wiener Dog Races. Wiener Dog parents and their pooches are both encouraged to come in costume.

Huge, multi-day events like this can be confusing unless organizers create schedules for attendees, which they can easily do using flyer printing.
