Party for a cause in Kirkland

A Kirkland organization has scheduled its first-ever event to raise money for a good cause.

The Little Black Dress Tea Party is sponsored by the Little Black Dress Party (LBDP), a Kirkland charity founded in 2011. LBDP is a 501(c)3 organization focused on creating fun events to bring women together to raise community awareness of issues facing women and families. The charity’s Benevolent Fund is the fundraising side of the organization, and works to provide resources and money for support, including legal aid, for those in need.

The inaugural Tea Party will give women the chance to get dressed up and enjoy the warmer weather, while also making them aware of charities in the local area, and how they can get involved in these efforts.

The Kirkland Women’s Club will be the venue for the First Annual Tea Party for Little Black Dress Party. Attendees will hear from experts on tea, as well as those who can speak to the need for support, resources, and legal aid for members of the community. The tea includes desserts, tasty bites, boozy tea, and champagne. An informal fashion show is planned, as well as a photo booth, with music provided by a classical pianist. Flyer printing can be used to create tasteful Menus for events like this.

The tea is set for May 16, from 1.00 pm until 3.00 pm, and is limited to those 21 years of age and older.
