Nobel-nominated comedian on way to Kirkland

An artist who earned a Nobel Peace Prize nomination for his charity work is coming to Kirkland.

Steve Hofstetter’s list of accomplishments includes his YouTube channel having approximately 700,000 subscribers, and his work has been viewed over 200 million times. In addition, he has 800,000 Facebook followers and over a billion views. He is an author, actor, producer, and columnist.

Hofstetter grew up in Queens, New York City, and at various times lived in Rego Park, Forest Hills, and Briarwood. In 2002, he received a B.A. from the School of General Studies at Columbia University. He first came to notice when he began posting videos on YouTube of his interactions with audiences. The videos popular enough that Fox Television approached him with an offer for a series called “Laughs.” He was also the Senior Comedy Correspondent for “Just a Bit Outside,” seen on Fox Sports.

His other television work includes “Love Always, Santa,” for Hallmark; “Psycho Yoga Instructor” and “Psycho Storm Chaser,” which are Lifetime movies; and “Road Hard” with Adam Carolla. Also a successful author, Hofstetter’s book “Ginger Kid” was a hit on Amazon. A review says:

Steve Hofstetter will be at the Kirkland Performance Center on Monday, May 28. Shows like this are often advertised with posters, which organizers can have created at print shops.
