Each month brings new birds and other wildlife to Kirkland’s Juanita Bay Park, and thanks to an activity hosted at the site, locals will be able to observe the changing face of local nature.
Starting in January, East Side Park Rangers will be hosting two monthly activities, and these will help people connect with the wildlife right in their backyard. The participants will meet up in the parking lot, and these activities will be presented by Eastside Audubon.
Those who would like to take part in these outings can choose between the Juanita Bay Wildlife Tour and the Juanita Bay Park Bird Walk, and they will even be able to participate in both if they wish. They are reminded to bring some binoculars and wear comfortable walking shoes, and it is also advisable to dress for the weather. It was noted that the bird walk is suitable for teens and adults, and they are asked to meet up in the parking lot at 2201 Market Street before heading out.

Eastside Audubon will be welcoming the public for these walks starting on January 3. The wildlife tours will begin at 1:00 pm, while the birders will be hitting the trail at 9:00 pm.
