What's Happening in Kirkland, WA…

Kirkland is already getting ready for the holiday season, and has put a special celebration on the calendar.

Although details are still being finalized, Kirkland has announced its plans for this year's Winterfest and Tree Lighting. During this fun afternoon, families and friends will be able to listen to live music, hear carolers singing the songs everyone knows, play games, and enjoy delicious food. The beach will be the place to go to enjoy a bonfire, as people count down the minutes to the lighting of Kirkland's official holiday tree. A very special guest, Santa Claus, will be on hand to chat with children of all ages. Banner printing can be used to create festive decorations that are sturdy enough for use at outdoor events like this.

In 2019, Winterfest included a sledding hill made of real snow; a petting zoo that featured a llama; a local dance group, the Collective; and photos with Santa.

There are still many opportunities available for those who would like to volunteer at the event, both to help in putting up decorations in Kirkland's downtown, and to assist in writing letters to Santa.

The events take place at Marina Park on December 5, from 3.00 pm until 6.00 pm. However, due to health concerns, people who are planning to attend should check the calendar for any changes in the schedule.
