Kirkland has held several Wine Walks in 2017, and now the last event of the year is on the schedule.
The event is presented by the Kirkland Downtown Association, the Kirkland Chamber of Commerce, and Seattle Uncorked.
Participants in the walk do not have to go to various wineries; instead, they will visit locations throughout Kirkland where they can taste local wines. After picking up maps of the event and a list of the participating wineries, they can walk to 16 different downtown spots to taste the wine being poured there. Each person taking part will be given 14 tickets, along with a glass from The Mine. Attendees can buy more tasting tickets in several locations downtown, and wine will be available at special prices during the walk.
This is the fourth Wine Walk this year. The first was in February to mark Valentine's Day; the second, the Wine-A-Palooza, was in June to kick off the summer; the third was a Zombie Wine Walk near Halloween; and the upcoming event celebrates the holidays.
The Wine Walk is set for this Friday, November 17. The event starts at the Heathman Hotel, located on Kirkland Avenue. Early bird ticket holders should plan to arrive at 5:00 pm, with general admission at 6:00 pm.
Events like this can be enhanced if participating businesses distribute Holiday Cards to convey seasonal greetings.
