Genie/Terex AWP, which was founded in Kirkland in 1966, is moving into a new headquarters office building in nearby Redmond later this month.
Currently, its staff is spread out among several office buildings and this new single facility will provide space for all 400 employees. It will have over 100,000 square feet of office space.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the company, among the items featured in the new building will be a pictorial timeline, which will be a place to welcome customers who visit. There will also be a showroom filled with a variety of the company’s equipment, an auditorium, a guests’ lounge, and a training room.
There will be three phases in December during which the move will take place. As the address of the company will change, it may want to look to business card printing so that customers can become aware of this change, although email addresses and phone numbers will remain the same.
According to President of the company, Matt Fearon, it has been a long-term goal of the company to bring everyone together from multiple buildings into a single location. He is looking forward to having everyone working in the same building so that they can work more closely together, resulting in improved communications and increased speed with which the customers of the company are served.
