Huge wholesale craft show near Kirkland

An event reserved for wholesalers and business owners is set to take place near Kirkland.

The event, the Urban Craft Uprising (UCU), is open only to shop owners and wholesale buyers, and is the largest indie craft show in the Seattle area. UCU hosts more than 150 designers, crafters, and artists at their shows, which are held biannually. The shows have proved extremely popular with buyers from throughout the area since they do not have to deal with crowds of shoppers.

Wholesalers who have attended this show in the past note that the wholesalers-only approach gives them the space and time to talk to the vendors in depth. One also noted that they placed many more orders than they have previously, at larger shows, because the selections were unique. Another said that the organizers placed the emphasis on sourcing goods straight from their creators, giving buyers a chance to meet and discuss the products with the makers themselves.

Organizers ask that people only register if they are planning to attend in person, and if they represent a business that wants to establish wholesale connections with the vendors. Events like this are the perfect place for attendees to exchange Business Cards.

The show is set for January 21 at 10:00 am until January 23 at 5:00 pm. The venue is Magnuson Park Hangar 30 in Seattle, a short drive from Kirkland.
