A fundraising event for a Kirkland school is on the calendar, and everyone is invited.
Les Lilas French Bilingual Community School blends the Montessori method with the curriculum of the French education ministry. The school currently accepts children from the ages of three through nine.
The Les Lilas Gala is a themed party with dancing, games, drinks, food, and an auction. Items up for auction include tickets to special events, passes to Disney, Gift Certificates to local restaurants and more. This is the second year for the event, and the money raised will go to support the school's programs and enhancements for the students' overall experiences at Les Lilas. Specifically, the school wants to purchase outdoor equipment and gym equipment, both of which are badly needed, as well as providing training for the teachers. The goal for the night is to raise $5,000.
Everyone in the community is invited and are encouraged to come and have fun. For those who would like to support the school but won't be able to come to the party, they can make a monetary donation, donate an item, or their services.
The event is limited to those age 21 and above, and will begin at 6.30 pm on March 7. The venue is the Heritage Hall on Market Street in Kirkland, and although people can wear what they like, party clothes are encouraged. Banner printing can provide festive decorations for events such as this.
