Fun rolls into Kirkland

An event just for auto enthusiasts is coming up in Kirkland.

The Kirkland Downtown Association (KDA) is presenting the Kirkland Car Show, one of the region’s biggest shows of its kind, with more than 30 vendors on hand to cater to those who turn up to admire the more than 300 cars on display. The autos include muscle cars, antique cars, classics, and the latest high-performance vehicles. Visitors will be able to chat with the restorers and owners as they enjoy great food and live music.

The bands on the stage for this event are Redline and Rear View Mirror. Redline is based in Seattle and has been playing local venues since 1984, though they began jamming together in high school. Rear View Mirror is based right in Kirkland, and plays the hits of the Best Decade Ever—the 60s.

People who want to display their vehicles should register in advance. The gates open at 8:00 am for participants, who will be asked for their registration, and then their vehicle will be parked. People in car clubs should arrive together.

The Kirkland Car Show is set for August 14. The Car Show opens at 10:00 am, with the National Anthem performed at 10:30. Redline performs at 11:00 am, and Rear View Mirror appears at 1:00 pm. Awards will be given at 2:30 pm, and the show closes at 4:00 pm. When busy events like this are scheduled, organizers can use flyer printing to create a schedule for attendees.
