Kirkland is throwing a party and inviting everyone.
Kirklandia is a multi-day festival that includes three separate events: a Tiki Taco Throwdown, a Northwest Cider Festival, and a Washington Wine Festival. Live entertainment, street markets, competitions and games, and DJs are all part of the fun, which takes place on the city’s waterfront. There will be more than 100 vendors of beers, ciders, and craft wines on hand. With events this large, organizers might consider working with banner printing to create Signs identifying specific vendors.
In addition to the specialty drinks, food trucks will be on hand, as will vendors of street foods. Vendors will be on hand with treats such as ice cream, freshly made pretzels, Washington-made cheeses, and charcuterie boards. Many local restaurants are also taking part in the festival.
Live entertainment will be courtesy of the bands Herding Cats and The Hipsters. Herding Cats is based in Seattle and is a cover band that has worked with such artists as Roger Daltrey of The Who, Bruce Willis, and Huey Lewis and the News.
The Hipsters, also based in Seattle, is a four-piece rock outfit comprised of veterans of Seattle’s rock scene. They play covers of bands like Alice in Chains, Radiohead, and Blink-182.
Kirklandia is set for June 10-12 at Marina Park. Well-behaved furry friends are welcome to attend in the company of their humans.
