Circus Oz will be coming to the Moore Theatre in Seattle this month, and people living in Kirkland will no doubt want to make the short trip across Lake Washington to watch the group’s aerobatics.
The company uses trapeze flying, stunt-jumping acrobatics and unicycles, along with physical comedy and impersonations. A press release from the Seattle Theatre Group cites Cicus Oz’s focus on the internet, television, consumerism, and information overload.
The show to be performed is the group’s latest, titled ‘But Wait… There's More’, and is set to music performed by the accompanying live band. An emcee will also be on hand, interacting with the audience throughout the show.
According to the artistic director of Circus Oz, Mike Finch, each show is created based on the unique skills of the cast and their own ideas and then put together into the primary concept of the show. Coming from Melbourne, Australia, the group was cast with an equal number of men and women with various skills and backgrounds for the new show.
Circus Oz will be performing from Thursday, February 5 through Sunday, February 8, with evening performance on Thursday through Saturday and additional matinee shows on Saturday and Sunday.
Poster printing can be used to announce the company’s return to the Pacific Northwest, perhaps featuring highlights of the new show.
