Spotlight on health at Bellevue event

In conjunction with a Health & Wellness Fair being conducted at Bellevue Downtown Park, the 2015 Spirit of Bellevue will be held to raise money for the Bellevue Chamber Foundation and the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce at the end of this month.

This year’s Spirit of Bellevue will offer two course choices and a Kids’ Fun Run. Each course, the scenic 12K run and an alternative 5K run/walk, will start and finish at Bellevue Downtown Park. Local vendors will be on hand to showcase health and wellness products and services to the public.

Monies raised from this event benefit the Bellevue Chamber’s efforts to support local students, teachers, and entrepreneurs. During the last 10 years, more than $130,000 was dispersed as teacher grants and scholarships and to assist in launching companies via the Young Entrepreneurs Academy.

Early Bird registration was available up until the end of April, but as of May 1, registrations costs are $45 for the 12K, $40 for the shorter run/walk, and $10 for the kids’ event. Race day registrations are $50, $45, and $15 respectively.

A thorough saturation of the area with the help of a flyer printing service can maximize participation in this type of event.

The 2015 Spirit of Bellevue takes place on May 31. Registration opens at 7:00 am with the 12K starting at 8:00 am and the 5K commencing 15 minutes later. The Kids’ Fun Run takes place at 9:30 am.
