The annual meeting of the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI) will be held in Bellevue next month.
This is an important event for teaching and learning professionals in higher education who are looking to advance and improve learning through innovations using information technology. The meeting provides an opportunity for sharing, networking, and exploring of student success, learning principles and practices, and new approaches in post-secondary learning.
There will be 11 thematic tracks at the meeting. Among the tracks will be student success, focusing on student-centered partnerships, practices, and technologies to support equitable outcomes; academic transformations for cross-organizational collaboration, leadership, and institutional strategy; designing learning for inclusion, diversity, and equity; and learning spaces that can create digital learning environments for the next generation and high impact experiences.
There will be half-day workshops prior to the meeting and poster sessions on that day. An Analytics Leadership Seminar will also be held during the meeting that will focus on practice and policy on the use of big data and analytics by institutions and emphasizing the emerging field of learning analytics.
Sponsors of the meeting include Oracle, Hewlett-Packard, Desire2Learn, Steelcase Education, and campuslabs. Registration includes meals and the program materials, which are often designed or produced by local Print shops.
The meeting will take place at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue from Monday March 2 through Wednesday March 4.
