The new senior living property of Aegis Living will be opening in Bellevue this year and is now offering tours by reservation.
The Bellevue Overlake property has 122 units, 31 of which are for memory care and the remaining 91 units for assisted living. The property is near the Bellevue facility of Seattle Children’s Hospital and Overlake Medical Center. It will be staffed with 100 people, many of whom may need business card printing services.
Executive director of interiors of Bellevue Overlake, Jeanna Korbas, and director of development, Brian Palmore, said the entrance to the facility is like a greenhouse with walls of moss and plants, a koi pond and waterfall, and a great deal of light. The lobby has an enclosed courtyard and shelters residents from the busier Bellevue neighborhood. The second floor will be for memory care residents with features to highlight and activate people’s memories of the area, Palmore said.
Among the amenities at Bellevue Overlake are a salon and barber shop, a dining room that feels more like a restaurant, a movie theater, and activity room. There will also be many spaces for such activities as music, crafts, and painting, and a Sky Room on the top floor with views overlooking the downtown and the surrounding area.
The facility will open in the spring of this year.
