Molly Moon’s, an ice-cream shop based in Seattle, recently announced that it will be opening a second location on the Eastside in downtown Bellevue early this summer.
To be located near the Downtown Park, the opening date has not yet been set but one offering on the day will be free ice-cream given out to kids. Corporate Gifts are another item that can help to promote the opening of a new store.
Molly Moon Nietzel, founder of the store, said that she has been thinking about opening a shop near the park for many years and expressed her excitement that this dream will be coming true. The shop will be a walk-up store so that families and those who live in downtown Bellevue will be able to stroll around the park and the area with their sundaes and cones.
Close to a dozen good-paying jobs in downtown Bellevue will come as a result of the store’s opening. The pay rate for those who scoop ice-cream is well above Seattle’s and the state’s minimum rate. Other benefits will include vacation time, paid family leave, discount cards that can be used for public transit in the Puget Sound area of Washington, and free ice-cream.
The chain was founded by Nietzel in 2008 in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle. The first shop in the Eastside opened in 2016 in downtown Redmond. This will be the eighth in the region.
