Adopt-A-Street is a new program being launched by the city of Bellevue. This is part of the Keep Bellevue Beautiful program that partners with the community to keep the city clean and safe and a place where people want to work, live, and play.
Adopt-A-Street is an initiative run by volunteers and encourages families, individuals, community groups, and businesses to keep the streets of Bellevue litter-free. The website of Adopt-A-Street has a map where people can choose the street and the length of the street to adopt. When people adopt a street, they commit to picking up litter on that street at least four times a year and for a minimum of two years.
Those who participate in the program receive safety Vests, gloves, litter grabbers, and trash Bags from the city. Republic Services then collects the trash Bags free of charge from designated dumpsters and through residential collection.
Brochure printing can be used to provide more details about such programs and their benefits for the community.
In the past year, Keep Bellevue Beautiful cleanups have removed close to 300 Bags of litter from streets in the city. Adopt-A-Street is an easy way to make a difference in the community. Collecting trash on a regular basis by community organizations, businesses, and individuals can prevent trash from entering waterways, protect wildlife, and keep the streets of the city safe and clean.
