Both chiropractors and acupuncturists promote healing methods that exclude the assistance of unnecessary surgery or commercial pharmaceuticals. According to Chiropractic of Bellevue’s Dr. Edward Owens, the partnership will allow patients access to more natural treatments than chiropractic methods can provide alone.
Kang Acupuncture Herbal Medicine Center was established by Dr. ErKang Hu in 1997. According to Dr. Owens, the World Health Organization lists numerous conditions that can be treated successfully with acupuncture, among which are anxiety, asthma, Bell’s palsy, fibromyalgia, depression, dysentery, hay fever, and headaches.
Dr. Hu is quoted as saying:
"One of the best things about acupuncture is that there are no side effects from the treatment. It's completely safe."
It was pointed out in the press release that often people who could benefit from acupuncture treatment fail to receive it because they are fearful. According to Dr. Hu however, fine needles are used and their insertion is painless. In fact, it is not uncommon for patients to refer to the actual treatment as being relaxing.
One way many alternative medical practices address patient concerns is by working with a brochure printer to keep a supply of informative handouts available to answer the public’s questions.
