The Capital Projects and Facility Maintenance Grants for 2025-2026 have been approved by the City Council of Bellevue.
These grants are for recommendations made by the Arts Commission as part of the Arts and Cultural Facility Grant Program. These grants will be used for non-profit organizations to help fund the work of building, remodeling, and maintaining cultural and art facilities in Bellevue. An in-depth application and review process that involved local cultural and arts professionals and driven by the commission was used to develop the award recommendations.
Five projects were recommended for funding by the Allocations Committee for a total of $1.8 million. These projects will include the Bellevue College Foundation/Carlson Theatre, the American Asian Performing Arts Theatre, two projects for Theatre33, and KidsQuest Children’s Museum. These projects cover potentially 90,453 square feet of positive impacts in cultural and art spaces across the city, ranging from downtown to Lake Hills, BelRed, and Eastgate.
More details about such projects and their benefits of an art and cultural nature are often made known throughout a city with flyer printing.
The Arts and Cultural Facility Grant Program was approved by the City Council in June to formalize and expand the support of the city for cultural and arts facilities with an equitable and structured competitive process of awarding grants to local organizations with maintenance and capital needs.
