Special sale to take place in Auburn

Gardeners should plan to attend an upcoming sale in Auburn.

The Soos Creek Botanical Garden and Heritage Center is the location for a popular event that happens at the same time every year. The annual Fall Plant Sale will give people a chance to stock up on plants that thrive in the climate of the Pacific Northwest. Many of the selections are propagated on the grounds of the garden, and the volunteers and staff are knowledgeable and will be present to answer questions. Flowers, perennial shrubs, and more will be available at attractive prices, in the Plant Sale nursery area, which has recently been remodeled.

The Garden is actually several gardens that provide a diversity for everyone to enjoy. Some of these are designed using historical, regional, and international gardens as their inspiration. These gardens provide opportunities to learn about the environment, horticulture, and history.

The Garden is also the site of live events, such as productions of Shakespeare’s plays held in the summer. The pavilion is also made available to the public for special events.

The Fall Plant Sale is set for September 16 and 17, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm both days. The Garden is at 29308 132nd Ave. SE in Auburn. Proceeds from the sale go to support the Garden. Events like this can benefit if attendees are given a sheet listing available products, which organizers can create using flyer printing.
