Auburn readies for a glow up
The City of Auburn has organized a special event and is inviting everyone to participate.
The Almost 5K Glow Run & Walk is part of a new series, the Almost 5K, Always Fun Run Series. The run is suitable for participants of all ages and skill levels, since the course follows the large loop in Les Gove Park.
There will be community vendors at the site, and special activities are planned to keep the fun going after participants have finished their event. Among the fun is an after party suitable for everyone, featuring the Glow Family Jam. Additional registration is required for the party, with discounts available to those taking part in the event.
The Glow Family Jam is a party featuring a photo booth, inflatables, glow games, and a glow-in-the-dark dance. Attendees are encouraged to wear white so they will literally glow. They should also feel free to bring toys and objects that glow in the dark.
The Almost 5K is scheduled for November 1, from 4.00 pm until 6.00 pm. Les Gove Park is at 910 Ninth Street Southeast, and the after party will take place in the Les Gove Gymnasium. Registration includes a participations medal and T-shirt, and closes October 30. Organizers can advertise events like this with posters, which they can order at print shops.
