Pink Floyd tribute to play Auburn

A tribute band to one of the greatest groups in rock history is scheduled to perform in Auburn.

On their “Wish We Were There” tour, Floyd Nation is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Pink Floyd album “Wish You Were Here.” Nick Mason, Rick Wright, David Gilmour, and Roger Waters, the original members of Pink Floyd, recorded the album as a follow-up to “The Dark Side of the Moon.” They recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios (formerly EMI), and the album went on to win a 6X Platinum rating.

Having had the opportunity to record at Abbey Road, this further enhanced Floyd Nation’s connection to the original group. Their tour will offer a setlist that honors the album, as well as a light and laser show like those Pink Floyd fans enjoyed at the original concerts.

Floyd Nation comprises musicians based in the United States who are dedicated fans of Pink Floyd’s music. In their concerts, they strive to recreate not only the music, but the “feel” of a Pink Floyd concert, which draws audiences in. They perform from albums including “The Wall,” “Dark Side of the Moon,” and of course “Wish You Were Here.”

Floyd Nation will be at the Muckleshoot Event Center on February 28. The venue is located at 2402 Auburn Way South. Events like this can benefit when organizers use poster printing to create exciting advertising for them.
