Pop star to visit Auburn

A hugely popular singer will be in Auburn for one performance.

Halsey, who was born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane in New Jersey, enrolled in a songwriting program at her community college, and quickly found that she had a talent for writing songs that were meaningful and personal. She accepted gigs throughout the country, created demos, and was signed by Astralwerks in 2014. She dropped “Room 93,” her debut EP, that year, and in 2015, she created a sensation at SXSW, held in Austin.

Since then, Halsey's works have been streamed more than 25 billion times, and she has sold over 11 million albums worldwide. She has sold out concerts around the world, including Madison Square Garden, has been on a number of magazine covers include Billboard, Forbes, and Rolling Stone, received a Grammy nomination, and seen “Badlands,” her debut album, win Platinum certification. In 2017, she soared to the top of the Billboard 200 chart with “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom,” her second album, which also went Platinum.
