Megadeth is on tour with Lamb of God, giving fans of heavy metal a concert to look forward to.
Megadeth first got together in 1983 in Los Angeles, founded by David Ellefson on bass and Dave Mustaine on guitar. Megadeth is considered one of thrash metal’s “big four” outfits, along with Slayer, Anthrax, and Metallica. These supergroups helped develop and popularize thrash, a genre that features fast rhythms and intricate arrangements, often dealing with such themes as religion, politics, and death.
A review says:
“It was amazing to see Dave Mustaine and Dave Ellefson still shredding like beasts after 30 years on stage! Explosive show from all members . . .”
Lamb of God first formed in Richmond, Virginia, in 1994, and is also credited with being a strong influence on the development of heavy metal. The band is an important part of the so-called “New Wave” of heavy metal in the United States, a movement that includes genres such as metalcore.
A Lamb of God review says:
“If you are even . . . a moderate listener of metal music, so [sic] yourself a favor and go to a Lamb of God concert. . . . one of the most energetic and powerful concerts . . . ever . . .”
The concert is scheduled for September 5 at 6.00 pm, at the White River Amphitheatre. Poster printing is often successfully used to publicize events like this.
