Two rock legends are planning to get their freak on in Auburn.
Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie are on the road with their “Freaks on Parade 2023” tour, and will be rocking the White River Amphitheater.
Alice Cooper (Vincent Damon Furnier) has been performing for more than 50 years. He is known for his raspy voice and live performances that feature stage illusions such as fake blood, guillotines, and pyrotechnics.. His influences include garage rock, vaudeville, and horror films, and he has blended them into a theatrical, macabre type of music designed deliberately to shock his audiences. In his career, Cooper has sold more than 50 million records, and earned the title “The Godfather of Shock Rock” from many music critics as well as his peers
Rob Zombie is also a shock rock icon. Zombie (Robert Bartleh Cummings) draws inspiration from sci-fi and horror. He has had success as a record producer, songwriter, actor, and filmmaker as well as a vocalist. Zombie’s breakthrough came as a founder and frontman of the White Zombie heavy metal band. In 1996, he released “Hands of Death (Burn Baby Burn),” which he wrote and performed with Cooper. The song was nominated for a Grammy for Best metal Performance. He has 15 million record sales to his credit.
Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie will be in Auburn on September 20. Concerts like these are perfect for organizers to use poster printing to create compelling advertising.
