A truly unusual—one might say “nutty”—event is scheduled in Auburn.
The City of Auburn has announced the upcoming Squirrely Summer Scavenger Hunt, which will take place at various trails and parks throughout the city. The objective is to find at least 10 of the furry creatures, who will be wearing sunglasses and have colorful accessories, such as beachballs. Participants with special needs will be able to find squirrels in two specific locations where the animals will be visible from the paths. Poster printing can be used to advertise events like this.
Residents may download the Nutty Scorecard if they wish, or can use a notepad or other device to keep track of the squirrels as they find them. Everyone is asked to leave the squirrels where they are located so others can play the game as well. The event will be safe and fun for everyone, as it is designed with COVID protocols in mind.
Searchers may hunt only during park hours, and must find 10 squirrels, then fill out the Online Nutty Scorecard Submission Form. Prizes include gift cards to various local attractions and companies.
The hunt for the little monsters runs from July 1 at 8:00 am through July 11 at 9:00 pm. The scorecard will be available July 1 through July 11 at 11:59 pm. No late entries will be accepted. The city will announce the list of trails and parks where the squirrels will be hiding on June 30 at 8:00 am.
