Auburn area to welcome burger joint

Auburn residents will not have far to travel to enjoy one of Dick's famous burgers, as a new Dick's Drive-In will open soon in Kent. The restaurant chain, which has been around since the 1950s, is something of a Washington institution.

The new location is only the seventh Dick's Drive-In, with five stores in Seattleband one in Edmonds, which opened in 2011. About 50 people will be employed at the Kent location. The company promises that it will be easy to get to, as it is just to the west of I-5, and close to Mount Rainier High School, and Highline College.

Dick's traditionally allows its fans to decide the locations of its restaurants. In order to determine where to open the latest effort, Dick's created on online poll for its customers, which resulted in over 170,000 votes being cast. The majority of the vote (60%) wanted a new restaurant south of Seattle, and Dick's finally selected Kent. When businesses open new locations like this, they might consider distributing Promotional Products to show gratitude to their first patrons, as well as building brand recognition.

The official opening ceremonies for the Kent location of Dick's Drive-In is December 12, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. The new restaurant is at 24220 Pacific Highway South, close to the Midway Shopping Center. The ribbon cutting itself will take place at 10:30 am.
