Arena rock legends returning to Auburn

A band that packed arenas in the 1970s is still rocking and is coming to Auburn.

Cheap Trick first got together in 1973, and are still on the road, bringing their high-energy performances to fans everywhere. An Illinois band, they toured around the Midwest for four years before they dropped “Cheap Trick,” their debut album, in 1977. Although the album was not successful in the United States, it created a fan based in Japan and Europe, which in turn led to their eventual success in the U.S.

Their hit single “I Want You to Want Me” was from “In Color,” their second album, but despite the song’s popularity, the band did not chart in the U.S. until they released “Heaven Tonight” in 1978. The lead track on the album was “Surrender,” which became a classic and launched Cheap Trick into the mainstream, making them superstars who were packing arenas around the world in the 1980s. They’re still rocking and dropped their latest studio album, “In Another World,” in 2021.

After 40 years in the business, Cheap Trick knows how to put on a show. A review says:

“After 40 years of constant touring and albums, Cheap Trick still rocks! They put on an amazing show with lots of energy. They interacted with the audience and seem so accessible to the crowd."

Cheap Trick will appear at the Muckleshoot Casino Events Center on November 10 at 8.00 pm. Organizers of events like these can effectively publicize them using poster printing.
