Upcoming virtual fundraiser to help local charities

Two virtual events are taking place in Brattleboro this month and next. They are fundraisers for local charities.

The first one is the Southern Vermont Virtual Garden Tour, which will take place on Sundays beginning this month and running until December. It is a fundraiser for the Brattleboro Area Hospice, which provides free care for the terminally ill. Helen O'Donnell, Laurie Merrigan, and Rita Ramirez will be presenting a tour of the garden of Ms. Rameirez and Tom Bodett. This garden was featured in Martha Stewart's Living magazine. An online flip book will be available.

The next event is the holiday auction of the Strolling of the Heifers. It is set to take place from the end of November until early December. The goal is to raise $10,000, and there will be over 100 items available to bid on. The Strolling of the Heifers organization helps to connect people with local food sources while encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship.

Brattleboro printing services companies are often asked to help advertise events such as these with Flyers and other printed materials.

The garden tour will take place from October 18 to December 13. Tickets are $25. Call Susan Parris at 802-757-0775 to find out more.

The holiday auction is being held from November 25 to December 6. For more information, call Anne Latchis at 802-490-6366.
