Classical concert scheduled in Brattleboro

A special evening in Brattleboro will combine popular classical music with glowing candlelight.

Lumos Experiences is the company behind the candlelight concerts that are being held around the world. They handpick venues for their atmosphere, charm, and character. Their selections may include a hidden spot popular with locals, a theater, or, as in Brattleboro, a church. The space is lit with thousands of candles, adding to the enchantment music creates. In addition to choosing a special venue, Lumos also donates part of the concert proceeds to a different charity every month.

The chosen venue for this concert is The Stone Church, and the program is “A Classical Vivaldi & Mozart Tribute.” A string trio will play “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik mov.1,” and the “Divertimento in D mov. 1” by Mozart; and the “Concerto in A Minor mov.1” and all four movements (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter) of “The Four Seasons” by Vivaldi. The musical selections are very popular and will be instantly recognizable to audience members.

There are two performances scheduled. The doors will open for the first at 5.30 pm, with the show at 6.00 pm. Doors for the second performance open at 7.30 pm, with the concert at 8.00 pm. Each concert lasts approximately one hour, and seating is first come, first served within the Lumos tier classifications.

The performances are scheduled for January 2. When they program events like this, organizers can use colorful advertisements, which they create with poster printing methods, to promote them.
